The Hospital Infection Prevention Coordinator will join an acute care hospital that delivers exceptional inpatient and outpatient services to individuals throughout Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. This health system continues to build, grow, invest in innovation and launch new programs so that patients in the community are able to access high-quality care. The Assistant Manager Infection Prevention will work for a 300+ bed facility known for both their acute care hospital and rehab center. Responsibilities of the Hospital Infection Prevention Coordinator include planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the Infection prevention and Infection control Program currently being offered at this medical center and the surrounding satellite facilities, initiate epidemiological investigations of unusual clusters or high rates of infection, continue ongoing performance improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control, identify new processes and procedures to reduce or eliminate infections, educate clinical and non-clinical staff on best practices or techniques related to infection, maintain state and regulatory compliance, and update policy procedures.
Ideally the Hospital Infection Prevention Coordinator will have previous infection prevention and infection control experience within an inpatient acute care hospital setting. Holding a CIC and RN license is a plus!
