Hospital Liaison
We are currently seeking a Hospital Liaison. As a hospital liaison you will be responsible for marketing our facilities in the hospital, community and discharge planners and overseeing internal admissions. You will be championing a smooth transition for our new residents by working with the residents, their family and discharge planners. You will be responsible for managing referrals from hospitals, developing relationships along with sales and marketing functions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for census development.
- Plan, develop, and coordinate resident referrals, hospital & physician relationships.
- Secure new customers and work with facility leadership for both new and returning residents to ensure a smooth admission into the facility.
- Serve as a liaison between hospitals, assisted living communities, physicians and other healthcare providers who provide referrals to facilities.
- Actively communicate with facility leadership new admission information, projected changes in admissions, bed changes, discharges, tours, meetings, and upcoming event information.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service approach through providing resident and family members with all necessary information regarding facility services.
- Make inpatient visits to patients and provide education to providers, residents and families that are a potential for admission.
- Develop and implement public relations and marketing programs.
- Attend community events to increase census and to provide key community healthcare and organizations information regarding facility services.
- Work with various departments to ensure first impressions and standards are met for an overall professional presentation of the facility and services.
- Provide quality facility tours, maintains current knowledge of bed availability, ensures responses to all inquiries are handled properly, timely, and with appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state regulations and reimbursement (Medicare and Medicaid) issues.
- Monitor, evaluate and share customer satisfaction information with leadership team.
- Develop action plans as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
· Two years of marketing or sales experience, preferred
· Strong Interpersonal skills
· Extensive travel required
· Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive/confidential information
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite and all social media)
· Ability to work flexible hours, as admission responsibilities may dictate
· Demonstrated critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and time management skills.
· Strong ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
