The Hospitality Apprentice will assist with needed hospitality functions in food and nutrition, environmental services, patient transport and materials distribution.
Responsibilities:- Deliver linens.
- Stock isolation carts, PPE, hand sanitizer, soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Pull and remove trash from patient rooms and common areas.
- Sweep and mop patient rooms, kitchen and common areas. Hospitality Apprentice may not use floor buffer machines. Hospitality Apprentice may not clean isolation rooms.
- Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units.
- Clean, wash, sanitize and polish bathroom fixtures.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and equipment.
- Ensure equipment is kept clean and sanitized.
- Operates cash register, when assigned, according to established procedures.
- Posts menu boards and signage in food service areas.
- Prepares and serves food accurately following menu and portion guidelines. Completes pre-portioning of desserts, salads and other foods as assigned.
- Stocks pantries, checks refrigerator logs.
- Adheres to proper food handling methods as required by local, state, and federal regulations.
- Selects and delivers materials to departments.
- Maintains appropriate documentation for supply management.
- Removes empty shipping and storage boxes and discards in proper locations.
- Rotates inventory stock for both dated and non-dated supplies to achieve a first in/first out system.
- Transports patients by wheelchair, bed or stretcher ensuring safe handling of patients and within expected timeframes.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to learn quickly.
