Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Host / Hoestess | Blind Salamander | Part Time for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa! Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2023

The Host / Hostess's job is to ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Omni Standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers in opening and closing.
• Answering phone calls.
• Seating guests.
• Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
• Knowledge of hotel property.
• Inform the guest about buffets.
• Attend to and anticipate guests needs.
• Familiarization with menu.
• Introduce server to guest.
• Greeting guests.
• Knowledge of daily specials.
• Assign guest checks.

Qualifications

• Be committed to providing exceptional customer service
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skill
• Prior host experience preferred
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance
• Flexible Scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays
• Must have alcohol training certification (TABC) and food handlers training certification
