House Manager/Family Assistant Needed
Mahlen Holdings, LLC, is seeking a House Manager/Family Assistant to offer professional assistance to a busy and dynamic family. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
The House Manager/Family Assistant will primarily be responsible for providing support to the family in various personal and household tasks. Duties may include managing the family calendar, organizing family events and travel, running errands, completing household chores/duties weekly, overseeing household maintenance, and assisting with childcare duties. They will ensure the smooth running of the household and provide exceptional service to the family.
Pay is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience.
Hours: Vary weekly, but preference is that candidate will be available Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Candidate must be flexible in scheduling. Part time or full time potential.
Location: Southeast Sioux Falls
Tentative Responsibilities (may change as needed):
- Run errands, such as grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and general household shopping.
- House cleaning regularly
- Light housework daily including laundry and dishes. Meal prep 2-3 times a week
- Assist with childcare duties, including daycare drop-offs and pick-ups, and supervising activities.
- Backup for childcare duties if children are sick or as needed.
- Oversee household maintenance and repairs, including coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Perform manual labor as needed, lawn-mowing, light landscaping, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information and private matters.
- Manage the family calendar, including scheduling appointments, activities, and events.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation
- Organize family events, such as parties and gatherings, including vendor coordination and logistics management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the family.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Caring & compassionate demeanor with an interest in service
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using computers and standard office software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel occasionally as required.
