KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
- 2 years' experience in a hotel House Person or Housekeeping role
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach
- Personable demeanor and ability to deliver memory-making hospitable service
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and client-focused approach
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be passionate and dedicated to success
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans public spaces, hallways and restrooms
- Moves furniture
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor
- Dusts and polishes
- Collects soiled linen for laundering and resets rooms for room attendants
- Receives and inventory linen
- Maintains housekeeping carts
- Removes trash collected by room attendants
- Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry
- Deliver items to rooms on request
- Perform duties of room attendant when necessary
- Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry
- Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures
- Assist room attendants with placing bed boards, roll-ways beds, extra bed etc.
- Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player
- Communicate any guest problems and complaints to Management
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need
