SUMMARY: To clean and maintain the inside and outside housing common area, housing units and facilities, within physical abilities as described below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must actively demonstrate the ORC promises. Vacuum, mop, sweep, remove trash, operate shampoo machines, transport equipment with handcart up and down flights of stairs, apply wax and operate floor machines, maintain/and or assist in maintaining all housing floors in dorms and lower units, assist with room cleaning, pull/wash/dry/fold linens, assist in moving furniture, put all products away, assist office as needed, operate a leaf blower and pressure washer, pick up trash outside and landscaping debris, maintain the pool deck, and furniture. Pull dirty linens from room and organize until washed. Pull trash from rooms. Lightly service bicycles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using hand truck and dollies when moving heavy objects, adhere to ORC dress code and safety protocol as well as grooming standards, flexible schedule required, work well with other, treat our equipment with respect and care, have a sense of urgency and time management skills and confidentiality. Be able to lift 75 lbs. Have experience with extractors, pressure cleaners and a general knowledge of cleaning products. Handy for light repairs and maintenance of bicycles. Must be able to work weekends.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School or any combination of education, training or experience that proves the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
LANGUAGE: Excellent command of the English language. Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to effectively communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic measuring skills for product use.
REASONING ABILITY: Use good judgement and learn from every experience.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Driver's License

Must be able to walk three flights of stairs up to 10 times a day and transport vacuum and shampoo equipment upstairs.
WORK ENVIROMENT: Must enjoy working outdoors and be people friendly. Must be consistent, detailed oriented and work well alone and as a Team.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, Associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
