Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Supervision & Resource Management: Supervise hospital staff, ensuring safe and efficient patient care. Deploy resources as needed and provide clinical support and guidance.
- Operational Leadership: Act as the point of contact during off-hours, manage Incident Command in emergencies, and respond to codes and rapid response situations.
- Patient Flow Coordination: Oversee patient admission, placement, and status for optimal bed usage and continuity of care.
- Policy & Compliance: Interpret hospital policies for staff, monitor regulatory compliance, and support performance improvements.
- Communication & Collaboration: Maintain clear communication with hospital departments, coordinating patient care with department heads, charge nurses, and case managers.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN or active enrollment in a BSN program.
- A minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
- Active NJ State RN license.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and independent decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in the nursing process, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of utilization review and discharge planning criteria (e.g., Milliman or InterQual).
