Job Description
Saint Luke's North Hospital is hiring a House Supervisor to support all departments within the hospital.
Shift Details: Part Time 5:45 pm to 6:15 am
Job Responsibilities:
- Nurse Leader oversight of general hospital operations.
- Serves as a positive representative of Hospital Administration.
- Responsible for supporting the vision and all core values of Saint Luke's.
- Oversees the general staffing plan from shift to shift.
- Uses clinical knowledge and effective communication to facilitate patient throughput across the continuum of care.
- Takes ownership in patient safety concerns brought fourth by the care team and expedites resolution by collaborating with hospital leadership as appropriate.
- Uses established policies, procedures and other pertinent references as guidelines for clinical practice.
- Ensures implementation of the strategic plan and goals for the Department of Nursing and the hospital while working collaboratively with medical staff, Chief Nursing Officer, nurse managers, nursing staff and allied staff.
- Collaborates with patients, families, providers and associates to exceed customer needs and expectations in a patient centered healing environment.
- Maintains a solution-oriented mindset when managing conflict.
- Independent resource to all nursing units to facilitate exceptional patient care. The role is accountable for supervising and coaching others to strengthen staff's ability to achieve common goals of SLN.
- Assists the various nursing departments in performing Preceptor and/or Charge Nurse duties as needed.
- Responds to all Clinical Emergencies on campus and ensures the team follows appropriate nursing processes for the emergency at hand.
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
Job Requirements
Applicable Experience:
2 yearsAdvanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Mandt Certified - Various, Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
