About the Job
Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls is a private club since 1905 with upscale dining and a premier golf course, is seeking a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team. This person will assume the responsibility for cleanliness of the clubhouse dining areas, fitness center, pool and spa area, locker rooms, and common areas throughout the club house. The housekeeper is responsible to ensure cleanliness of all Club Facilities in compliance with Club standards and to ensure all areas are member ready. Cleaning the locker rooms, bathrooms, lobby and dining rooms are among the main responsibilities. Must be dedicated to providing quality service and exceeding the members and their guest expectations in the club facilities.
Job Tasks/Duties:
- Maintain a clean, aesthetically desirable, and safe club environment which meets the expectations of the clubs Management team, as well as club members and guests.
- Perform housekeeping functions such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, maintaining woodwork, and other vital housekeeping functions.
- Clean member and employee restrooms, restock restroom supplies.
- Vacuum/wash carpets and mops floors throughout the club, including dining areas.
- Empty all wastebaskets and ashtrays, take to dumpster.
- Disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
- Wash inside and outside of windows.
- Reports any damage, burned-out light bulbs and plumbing problems to the Building Engineer.
- Clean glass, tables, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment, and door handles.
- Clean locker room areas including showers and bath areas.
- Clean walls throughout clubhouse as necessary.
- Conduct deep-cleaning projects.
- Clean all restrooms on golf course and at the pool.
- Vacuum elevators; clean stairwells and landings; dust ceiling light fixtures; does spot cleaning as necessary; check window treatments for needed repairs and cleanliness.
- Transport linen to and from the linen room.
- Attend departmental staff meetings.
- Complete house training assignments.
- Order supplies when needed, with approval of supervisor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
- Relevant experience, 1 year (required).
- Housekeeping/cleaning, 1 year (preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Ability to stand on your feet for 5 hours, be able to use ladders, and kneel is a must.
- Show up to work on time and in clean uniform attire.
- Show respect to members and other staff.
- Able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day.
- Attention to detail and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Use short ladders when required.

Typical Schedule:
5:30 am-12:30 pm Tuesday - Sunday and generally working 35-40 hours/week.
- Additional hours as needed during tournaments or other club events.
