Job Description:
The primary purpose of this job position is to maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, attractive manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to ensure the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times. Cleans resident apartments and common areas, based on the guidelines and schedule determined by the Housekeeping Supervisors.
$750.00 Sign on Bonus
Responsibilities:Provide quality housekeeping services to residents of Fellowship Square.
Ability to communicate with and relate well to staff, elder population and the public in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.
Ability to read/write and speak English.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and company policies.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Ability to prioritize job duties.
Ability to follow written schedules.
Ability to inform supervisor / manager of supplies needed,
Ability to properly operate and use housekeeping supplies and equipment; to minimize waste of supplies and misuse of equipmen
Ability to lift, bend, stretch, squat, stand and other movements to perform housekeeper/janitor duties and reach in confined spaces.
Manual dexterity adequate for equipment operation and use.
Ability to establish cleaning schedules/instructions as outlined in established housekeeping policies and procedures.
Ability to learn and demonstrate safe and proper techniques for chemical/cleaning solution use.
Ability to identify potential maintenance issues.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to move furniture as needed for cleaning.
Ability to operate vacuum, change belt, empty bag to keep clean and proper use and care of vacuum and electrical cord.
Ability to clean adjoining outside areas to maintain clean entryways.Able to assist with cleaning of move outs and being sure all is done and apartment is ready in a timely manner.
Other duties as required from time to time ensure a clean and safe environment
Qualifications:
Day shift that may include weekends. Training or experience with general cleaning products and procedures preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to present oneself in an orderly manner. Willingness to adapt to the changing demands of this position. Be helpful and polite to residents, to be understanding of their needs and respect their privacy, personal property and confidentiality. Keep areas of responsibility clean, neat and organized. Cooperate with and be polite to all staff, residents and visitors.
