The Houseman provides support to the housekeeping, maintenance, and banquet staff, performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing. They are also responsible for removing trash and linen from guest rooms and public areas, and replenishing supplies, furniture, and amenities. The Houseman assists with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings, and helps to maintain the facility's appearance and functionality. They may also perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and repairing basic fixtures. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep all common and public areas clean and tidy
- Help housekeeping staff in guest room cleaning and preparation
- Assist with guest requests such as extra towels or toiletries
- Monitor and stock supplies in public areas
- Attend to spills and accidents in a prompt and efficient manner
- Assist with luggage handling and delivery to guest rooms
- Help with event set-up and breakdown
- Keep exterior areas such as parking lots and walkways clean and safe
- Move furniture and equipment as needed for events or maintenance work.
