DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Keep the facility clean and disinfected for patient and resident care.
- Keeps a clean and welcoming environment for visiting family and friends.
- Performs and communicates to staff cleaning duties to meet facility standards.
- Will be involved in and aware of the department's quality improvement and will actively participate in customer service activities when requested.
- Incumbent must be able to multitask and respond effectively to constant interruptions.
- Maintains the highest level of customer service at all times.
- Reviews work of others, provide training & direction to housekeeping staff & new employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure staff completes all daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annually and annual assignments completely and correctly.
- Enforces cleaning standards and quality requirements.
- Develops staff schedule and updates changes as required.
- Provides initial and recurring training to staff.
- Chair weekly team meetings, communicate changes in policy and procedures.
- Must be able to fill in during staff shortages and willing to work overtime if required.
- Provide guidance, coaching, direction and take disciplinary actions if necessary for staff not meeting standards or expectations.
- May be required to work spilt shifts to accommodate training of staff or complete any of above requirements. This may include, day or evening shifts, weekends and or holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess basic knowledge of housekeeping processes. Must be able to do moderate lifting.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have good communication skills.
