Housekeeping Supervisor
Position Summary:
Assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department to assure our facility is clean, safe, comfortable, and appealing to visitors.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of supervisory experience leading housekeeping or in customer service preferably in a hospital, healthcare, restaurant or hotel setting
- Demonstrated success as a housekeeper and the ability to lead by example
- Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to multi-task, make schedules, and hold staff accountable in a kind, professional manner
- Basic computer, office, and housekeeping experience
Responsibilities:
- Schedules, trains, evaluates and performance manages housekeeping (HK) staff
- Conducts inspections and make recommendations on facility improvements
- Participates in the hiring process, interviews applicants and makes hire recommendations
- Builds positive relationships with patients and staff to ensure all HK needs are met
- Participates in meetings reporting on department accomplishments and goals
- Staff onboarding, education and training
- Coordinates related outside services (Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Trash collections, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, Recycling program, etc.)
