A little bit about your day:
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, every day is different, but you will mostly be:
- Promote InterContinental service philosophy and style through our people attributes.
- Maintain impeccable personal grooming standards to uphold the professional and property style of the hotel.
- Attend shift briefings daily at the start of your shift.
- Retrieve assignments and other tools essential for your shift.
- Ensure proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn and adhere to health and safety protocols while performing tasks.
- Ensure all chemical bottles are properly labeled following MSDS (Martial safety data sheet guideline)
- Clean and service assigned rooms according to established sequence of service, standards and procedures.
- Arrange for the pickup of used dishes and refresh the welcome amenity by notifying in-room dining.
- Provide meticulous and personalized turndown service for guests' rooms, including refreshing linens, adjusting lighting, placing amenities, and preparing the rooms for a restful night.
- Create a serene and relaxing atmosphere by adjusting lighting; set the television to the designated music channel.
- Place turn-down trays on the nightstand with the amenity and a personalized note with bottled water.
- Ensure clothing left around the room is neatly folded or draped, and shoes are paired out of traffic area.
- Ensure ice is provided during evening service.
- Ensure that all in-room amenities, such as toiletries, refreshments, and collateral materials, are replenished to meet our guests' expectations.
- Ensure the bathrobe is elegantly folded, clean, and in excellent condition.
What We need from you:
- A Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
- Essential verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational abilities and skills for taking initiative, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritizing.
- Passionate about hospitality and providing an outstanding guest experience.
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repetitively.
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
