Seeking energetic Houseperson for Hilton Hotel

Candidate must be able to work Sun-Sat including holidays. 

Candidate must be able to pass a drug and background screen.

This is a non-exempt part time position

Shifts are typically 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm; however hours may vary.

Job Summary: The hotel Houseperson is an hourly position reporting directly to the Chief Maintenance Engineer. The Houseperson is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel corridors and public areas such as lobby, pool, breakfast room, public restrooms.    

Essential Functions:  

Housekeeping Operations:

1. Maintains brand and company standard for cleanliness in hotel corridors and public areas
2. Stocks room attendant’s carts with supplies
3. Rotates linens and stocks linens in storerooms
4. Maintains shelf organization in the storerooms
5. Replenishes storeroom supplies
6. Removes trash and dirty linens from room attendant carts
7. Cleans furniture, elevators, glass, planters, etc. in public areas
8. Cleans and set up of meeting room space
9. Sweeps and vacuums floors, hallways, and stairwells
10. Reports maintenance concerns or completes work repair orders
11. Cleans walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc.
12. Assists the Engineering staff when necessary
13. Delivers special request items such as cribs, roll-a-ways, extra linen, etc. to guest rooms
14. Picks up trash from parking lot and garden areas
15. Completes pool maintenance as necessary
16. Other duties as assigned 

Safety and Security: 

1. Coordinates with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
2. Recognizes, reports, and corrects conditions which may create security and safety hazards
3. Understands and adheres to policies and procedures for the hotel’s key control system 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to multi-task and be organized
2. Good time management skills
3. Ability to exercise good judgment
4. Ability to schedule, prioritize, and perform work
5. Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
6. Ability to complete Brand required training within Brand specified timeframe
7. Ability to obtain Pool Operators Certificate
8. Ability to obtain CPR Certification           

Education and Experience: 

1. High school diploma/GED, preferred
2. Valid Driver's License, preferred

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

1. Ability to push/pull up to 200lb housekeeping cart
2. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to bend at the waist and stretch above the head
3. This position works with and around several different chemicals during the course of the day
4. This position works with and around blood borne pathogens 

Due to the nature of the position, you can expect to walk around the hotel and standup the majority of the time. Work environment involves risks or discomforts which require safety precautions. Use of safe work place practices is required.
