Job Summary:
The Housing Director oversees all aspects of Cornerstone’s housing programs, including transitional, permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing and shelter. This role ensures the delivery of trauma-informed, survivor-centered housing services to build economic stability for participants, particularly those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The Housing Director will lead emergency services staff, manage housing facilities, maintain community partnerships, and ensure safe, welcoming environments for all participants. This position requires occasional availability during evenings and weekends.

Job Summary:

Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, non-profit management, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in housing or trauma-informed services.
- Expertise in working with diverse and marginalized communities.
- Strong knowledge of housing best practices and economic justice.
- Proficiency in supervision, team-building, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and related technologies.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- 40-hour sexual assault certification preferred (or ability to complete within 6 months).
Essential Functions:
Leadership & Program Oversight
- Lead day-to-day operations of all housing programs.
- Develop strategies to address the evolving housing needs of participants.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all housing sites.
- Foster strong partnerships with landlords, community service providers, and other housing agencies.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate housing staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Provide training on trauma-informed, survivor-centered services.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with best practices in data privacy and confidentiality.
- Oversee housing advocates in assisting participants with their housing goals and safety planning.
- Step in to provide direct support to participants as needed.
- Ensure accurate data entry and report program outcomes.
- Collaborate on grant writing, budget development, and performance measurements.
- Manage housing turnover and coordinate maintenance needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle.
