Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Program Manager is Responsible to plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for victims/survivors of human trafficking. Assist residents in settling and feeling safe at home and facilitate interactions with other residents in a healthy manner. Actively engage in daily activities and supportive services to meet the unique needs of residents. . Utilize evidenced based and/or promising practices as the preferred treatment modality, including arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, games, and community reintegration field trips to help maintain or improve a client's physical, social, and emotional well-being. Provide specialized treatment to clients that may include crisis management and safety planning as well as individual and group recreational therapy. The professional is expected to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team while making appropriate independent decisions for the benefit of the client(s).Provides instruction on daily living skills, self-esteem building, emotional regulation and alternative therapies. Provides crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques and behavior interventions as appropriate. Provides transportation as needed to coordinate activities, accompaniment to appointments and resources in the community. Participates in implementation of each residents' individual case plan and collaborates with Project LIFE team on resident issues, strengths and concerns. Maintains updated daily log of services provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work or related field with minimum of two years providing case management, supportive services and/or housing specific services OR work experience in housing-related support services required; Master's degree in behavioral health with BBS registration (ASW, AMF, APCC) preferred.
- Multi-lingual or Bi-lingual strongly preferred, with strong preference given to English/Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Utilize evidenced based practices to engage victims of human trafficking in participation of services that are client centered, culturally appropriate, and trauma-informed to improve the short and long-term health, safety, and well-being of
- Maintains delivery of multidisciplinary treatment plan for assigned residents.
- Contacts appropriate individuals during crisis.
- Provide crisis intervention to participants living in program housing and maintain good communication of potential concerns and safety issues to Program Manager, Clinical Supervisor and appropriate
- Help clients learn social skills needed to become or remain independent
- Assures that daily documentation consistently reflects a clients' assessment, the care provided, the resident's response to and the outcomes of care provided.
- Helping program participants' manage their response to traumatic stress that results in challenging behaviors.
- Documentation and evaluation of client progress.
- Help clients integrate into the community by teaching them how to use community resources and recreational activities as applicable.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities including arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, games, and community reintegration field trips to help maintain or improve a client's physical, social, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain linkages with community referral sources.
- Assists in program development, maintenance and resource identification and identification of potential barriers to program
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings where local human trafficking cases are presented and reviewed for quality and improvement of servic
- Co-Facilitate survivor-led HT support groups
- Participate in all human trafficking and treatment team meetings
- Follow all legal and ethical guidelines pertaining to the treatment of youth and families, per state and county requirements (e.g., Child Abuse Report, Duty to Warn, Confidentiality, Grievance Procedures, and Serious Incident Reporting).

Schedule/Compensation
- Monday-Friday (10:30 AM-7:00 PM).
- [$24.15-$37.95] Salary will commensurate with experience and education. EEO.
Additional Requirement
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
- Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
- Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.
