Salary/Hourly Rate:
$23/hr
Position Overview:
The HR Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department. This HR Administrative Assistant role will assist in various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and general administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the HR department.
Responsibilities of the HR Administrative Assistant:
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents and reports, and handling correspondence
- Recruitment Assistance: Assist with recruitment processes including job postings, resume screening, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Onboarding: Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire packets, scheduling orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information
- HR Compliance: Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of HR-related events such as training sessions, workshops, and employee engagement activities
- Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address any benefits-related inquiries
- General Support: Perform other administrative tasks and support HR projects as needed
Qualifications for the HR Administrative Assistant:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
