Job Summary:
The HR/AP specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, with a strong focus on recruitment and talent acquisition. This role will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The AP specialist will play a key role in making sure all invoices are recorded and paid. This person will ensure there is no waste in resources. This position plays a key role in promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the full cycle of the hiring process, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring.
- Track and monitor accounts payable to ensure all accounts are current and no waste exists.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Complete/Review applications and contracts
Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
Performance Management:
- Implement and oversee performance evaluation systems.
- Develop and manage employee recognition programs.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs.
- Support employee development through career planning and continuing education opportunities.
- Ensure annual evaluation and training requirements are met.
Policy Development and Implementation:
- Ensure policies are communicated and adhered to throughout the organization.
- Implement all HR policies to ensure state and federal guidelines are met.
Health and Safety:
- Promote and support a safe working environment.
- Coordinate workplace health and safety programs and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Experience with ADP and Quickbooks .
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification
- Quickbooks certified
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
