Human Resources Assistant
- Position: Full-Time
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, Standard Office Hours
About the Role:
Are you looking to kickstart your career in Human Resources? We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our HR team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a team environment, can handle multiple tasks, and is eager to learn and grow in the field of HR. You'll be responsible for maintaining a positive and productive office atmosphere, ensuring confidentiality, and supporting various HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the office filing system; retrieve materials as needed.
- Scan and organize employee documents into personnel files using HR systems.
- Provide administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information, organizing work, and handling phone calls.
- Sort and distribute HR mail.
- Complete employment verifications and respond to unemployment claims.
- Assist with handling complaints, including reviewing and exporting footage as needed.
- Track and manage COVID-related records.
- Prepare and coordinate supply orders.
- Cross-train in other HR areas to provide backup support as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by HR leadership.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
- A quick learner who can work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR related role.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
