We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant.
Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant performs administrative support tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.
Essential Functions:

- Submits background check requests and monitors progress for new hires and job specific requirements
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and I-9 documents
- Handles all DOT required paperwork and file maintenance
- Maintains MVR system and monitors active driver list with insurance company
- Acts as a backup for union and non-union payroll
- Assists with recruitment and interview process, including resume review, screening candidates, and sending follow-up letters at the end of the recruitment process
- Assists with benefits administration, new hire enrollment, and open enrollment
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
- Responsible for administrative support on FMLA and short-term disability claims
- Assists in coordinating lunch and learn trainings with management and external vendors/customers
- Assists with planning company events
- Manages clothing closet and company store orders
- Maintains company social media accounts and posts company updates weekly
- Manages company website and posts updated blogs and construction jobs upon completion
- All other duties as assigned
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00PM.

Requirements:
- Associate's degree in related field required, prior Human Resources experience preferred
- In lieu of a degree, 2+ years of HR experience required
- Social media experience required
