About the Job
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Crew Scheduler to join their dynamic operations team. This 12-month contract position offers the chance to play a pivotal role in scheduling and supporting the hourly workforce at a manufacturing facility. You'll be working closely with supervisors and plant staff, helping ensure the production schedules run smoothly, while also taking responsibility for maintaining accurate records and reports.
1st shift hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-6pm
1.5x pay for Overtime
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule hourly workforce for production shifts and maintain records for leaves of absence, vacations, and other time-off.
- Serve as the primary contact for scheduling training, company events, and community functions.
- Collaborate with supervisors and staff to align workforce scheduling with production demands.
- Support employee development initiatives, including training and leadership development programs.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and generate reports such as Monthly Hours Not Worked and Overtime Reports in compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including sanitation, allergen control, and pest control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a unionized environment and promote positive employee relations.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with SAP and Kronos systems.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Knowledge of food industry and manufacturing best practices.

Skills required:
-Organizational, attention to detail, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
-Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Knowledge of Excel 2010 and newer.
Skills Preferred:
-Experience with SAP, Kronos & Schedule Soft
Experience preferred:
-Prefer experience in a union bargaining shop
-Prefer experience with any proprietary scheduling software.
Education Required:
High School diploma/GED and 2 years related work experience in food manufacturing environment.
