Human Resources Business Advisory Coordinator
A Brief Overview
The HR Business Advisory Coordinator assists in the administration of the hospital's employee/labor relations function within the Business Advisory department. The incumbent is responsible for addressing or triaging employee concerns, supporting the HR Business advisory team, and explaining hospital policies and procedures. The coordinator demonstrates effective communication and maintains a positive rapport among employees and leaders. Facilitates utilization of corrective actions to address job performance and other behavioral issues.
What you will do
- Advises and assists with interpretation and application of personnel policies and procedures, grievances, disciplines, and termination issues.
- Works effectively with organizational staff members, appropriate internal and external agencies/organizations to coordinate employee relations activities, to obtain information, answer inquiries, and resolve issues/problems.
- Responds and ensures all unemployment claims are processed timely. * Recogcile invoices for unemployment claims * Ensures a HRBA representative is assigned for all unemployment hearings
- Manages the internal & external exit interview process * Conducts exit interviews with internal employees * Prepares termination data files and sends to external vendor
- Prepares and maintains required reports, records and files. Establishes reporting and data collection systems on types and frequencies of actions taken concerning corrective actions and employee relations activities. * Utilizes computer and information systems to enter, format data and generates reports, tables, charts, and graphs. * Responds to data requests for various reports within established departmental polices procedures and timeframes.
- Provides data for research and administrative support for HRBP’s.
- Coordinates the greviance hearing process and understands union labor law practices * Explains the greviance process to employees and provide required documentation * Ensure hearing officer has required documentation prior to hearings * Schedule and coordinate quarterly MEC meetings * Works as a liason between union stewards and HRBA department
- Strongly supports hospital-sponsored employee events.
- Maintains calendars and schedules meetings for the HRBA department
- Attends continuing education, staff development, and mandatory programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience in Human Resources or Business Administration, Business Management or a related area. Required or
- Four (4) years of human resources and/or employee relations experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Professional Certification Upon Hire Preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience experience performing Employee Relations related activities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required
