The Human Resource Business Partner reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and functions as a strategic partner with their client group, working with them to shape the HR agenda that closely supports organizational goals with their internal stakeholders. They also provide day to day human resource support to the organization in the areas of employee relations, development, compensation guidance, performance management, employee investigations, and other critical areas of Human Resources.
Responsibilities:Under the supervison of the Senior HR Business Partner, the HR buisness partner will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with their strategic partners and stakeholders,
- Capacity to learn and understand business(s) they support and align their goals and agenda to support the overall business objectives.
- Effective with management of ambiguity and experience moving forward organizational change.
- Excellent employee relations skills with a demonstrated ability to quickly ascertain employee/management situations and make appropriate recommendations/decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and persuade while building/maintaining highly effective relationships. Incumbent must be proactive and solution oriented.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with virtual business partners (by phone, email and/or other technology).
- Experienced managing and maintaining a non-union experience essential.
- Experience working independently and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Ability to work effectively as a part of a cross-functional team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate personal flexibility.
- Highly developed communication skills enabling the incumbent to provide and receive feedback.

- Have clear understanding of the business in order to develop an HR agenda that supports the business initiatives. This is obtained through participation in various leadership and staff meetings.
- Provide guidance to their managers regarding performance issues, interpersonal conflict and terminations. Works closely with their client group to improve work relationships and employee engagement, and retention.
- Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations concerning employee complaints and works with their manager ensure prompt resolution of employee concerns. Assists managers with employee performance issues, the development of coaching plans and performance improvement plans.
- Work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner to execute the enterprise-wide HR strategy for Duly.
- Support the performance management process by facilitating the goal setting process and the performance management processes. Provides day to day performance management guidelines within their client group.
- Work closely with their client groups/ management team to help identify training needs and individual management coaching needs. Assists with follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Assists managers in compensation planning by developing job descriptions for positions. Trains/coaches managers on FLSA and pay for performance program.
- Assures compliance with federal and state regulations. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Responsible for the data integrity of the information within the system for their employee population.
- Connects employees to appropriate sources for answers – Duly Intranet, HRIS self-service access. May assist with enrollment of employees from acquisitions.
- Oversees, recommends and implements efficient and effective department processes for continuous HR improvement.
- Assists in projects and reporting as needed.
EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred certifications include SHRM-CP, SHRM – SCP, or an HRCI certification.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have 5 – 8 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills to serve a diverse client base; ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understands the business environment and objectives and can work with employees to meet those objectives.
- Experience required with web-based applicant tracking systems and HRIS.
- Compensation expertise with experience developing and maintaining a salary programs is a plus.
- Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
