We are looking for an experienced HRBP to support the central services function develop an inclusive, effective, highly motivated and high performing workforce.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This exciting new role will support the business by working closely with senior leaders and operational managers to drive improvements in colleague engagement, succession planning, improve people metrics and deliver HR projects which support the overall business and people objectives.
As a business with multiple contracts the role will be a key support for bidding, TUPE and contract mobilisation as well as managing manpower planning and subsequent consultation discussions.
The role reports into Operational HR but will work closely with centralised MAXIMUS HR functions -Recruitment, T&D, Engagement, Compensation and Benefits and HRBP colleagues in other divisions of Maximus UK.
Reporting into the Head of HR, the responsibilities for this role will be to implement and develop the HR strategy in key areas, focused on people management and organisational development.
• Working with senior management to ensure effective people planning, building a workforce with the structure and skills to achieve business objectives
• Driving key people metrics across areas of responsibility
• Working closely with leaders to drive and champion engagement.
• Analyse data from annual engagement survey, drive action plans and develop solutions to themes and areas of improvement
• Support the management team in promoting a culture of performance and operational excellence
• Act as a trusted HR partner for senior leaders and managers, driving key changes locally by providing pragmatic HR advice and coaching
• Responsible for identification of key trends in people metrics and data summary and working to drive action plans to drive improvements
• Deliver an effective approach to HR matters across the business, working closely with our outsourced HR Advisory service to ensure consistency of advice and effective management of ER cases in a timely manner reducing risk
• Have a real curiosity and desire to understand the business to formulate plans to ensure the HR function effectively supports the operational objectives, driving improvements in engagement, inclusion, competency, absence and attrition
• Lead and manage complex ER cases, early conciliation, and tribunal process, where required
• Accountable for ensuring delivery of annual HR process - performance management moderation, pay review cycle and engagement survey
• Support new business bidding and TUPE activity through strong project management, where appropriate
• Lead on key organisational change projects including employee consultation in an organised and effective manner
• Provide feedback and direction on organisational policies, programs, and initiatives in support of business objectives and mitigation of company exposure
Qualifications and Experience
• CIPD qualified level 5 or above
• Ability to act at an operational and strategic thinker level
• Experienced HRBP who has operated at a similar level for a minimum of two years
• Excellent working knowledge of employment legislation
• Proven experience of working within a changing environment; driving new behaviours & cultural change
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and HR Systems
• Demonstrable experience of supporting HR projects and business partnering senior teams
• Experience engaging with senior leaders to influence and drive change
• Prior experience of creating monthly HR metric reports and analysis of HR data
• Exposure to a contract environment, supporting bids, previous experience managing large scale TUPE transfers and contract mobilisation would be advantageous.
