Responsibilities:The incumbent assists the service area and the facility HR team in the facilitation of various clerical and administrative Human Resources activities. The incumbent serves as the initial contact with applicants, employees, management, union representatives and others.
- Receives telephone calls/walk-in traffic and directs them appropriately. Provides routine information for employees and callers, which requires a good knowledge of Human Resource Department procedures.
- Assists the Human Resources leadership on various projects including handling customer and employee issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Sorts and distributes the mail. makes copies, composes correspondence, scans documents and performs other office procedures in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinates, in conjunction with others, various employee recognition events, makes schedules, orders recognition awards ensuring accuracy of data, reserves space, etc so that the events are professional and exceed the expectations of the desired audience.
- Maintains office supplies, ensures office equipment is maintained and operating appropriately and oversees professional appearance of office.
- Creates I.D. badges for Staff, Volunteers, Students, Contracts, Travelers and Visitors. Works with the appropriate department to activate cards.
- Responsible for assisting with the overall operations of the department to ensure satisfactory customer outcomes.
- Responds to various requests for information and ensures information provided is accurate.
- Assists and performs other Human Resource duties to ensure all Human Resource processes are complete and customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Assists with special projects as needed which includes communicating status of project as appropriate.

Experience:
- Clerical or administrative experience required. (3 years)
- Hospital based experience preferred
Education:
- High School graduate or a equivalent work experience required
- Additional business related coursework or a 2 year associate degree preferred
Special Skills:
- Efficient, professional, self motivated; ability to give superior customer service.
- Ability to hold in confidence sensitive and confidential matters, Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of staff, other departments, and the public in a pleasant, helpful and cooperative manner.
Training:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience with Lawson software program preferred
