Job Title: HR Coordinator
Location: Hamtramck, MI
Pay: 23.03/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Flexibility required)

Summary:
As the Human Resource Coordinator, you will be the go-to expert for implementing and communicating company policies to supervisors and associates. You'll play a critical role in promoting and managing policies, regulations, and employment standards for both hourly and salaried staff. This position is pivotal in helping maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the recruiting process by collaborating with the HR team, interviewing candidates, and facilitating the hiring of qualified applicants.
• Payroll duties.
• Assist with employee relations, including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Manage onboarding and coordinate training and development initiatives.
• Execute HR programs covering compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee recognition.
• Track HR metrics like attendance and hiring activities, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice on complex HR issues, ensuring alignment with company policies and labor standards.
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and ensure accurate documentation of employee attendance, leave, and benefits.
• Support health and safety compliance and manage STD, LTD programs.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR disciplines, including recruitment, performance management, and health & safety.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email tools.
• A valid driver's license.
