Job Summary:
As we continue to scale one of the fastest-growing apparel brands, we seek a person who can bring strong coordination skills and attention to detail. The right person will have accumulated experience using various online systems and knowledge of Microsoft suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Support recruitment by scheduling interviews, collecting interview notes and decisions, and initiating new hire communications.
- Attend recruiting events locally to promote the brand and generate candidate interest.
- Conduct phone screens and support hiring activities for non-exempt roles supporting Operations.
- Support the organization and delivery of new hire orientations to promote the successful onboarding of new employees to the company.
- Monitor DTV email, Teams, and voicemail constantly and respond to requests as needed.
HRIS support:
- Support the administration of employee benefits by collecting, reviewing and entering employee data under the guidance of the Benefits/Payroll Specialist.
- Process payroll in the absence of a Payroll Specialist
- Provide coordination supporting the employee benefit orientation and enrollment process in UKG
- Support the ongoing maintenance of the HRIS/payroll system, supporting employee data with the most current information.
- Maintain HR paperwork in a secured Shared drive including, personnel folders for active and terminated employees, employee medical files, workers’ comp incoming correspondence, I-9s, and other miscellaneous documents.
HR Support:
- Enter all workers' compensation claims into Liberty Mutual’s online portal.
- Assist with hiring and onboarding functions, including greeting interviewees upon arrival, maintaining candidate data in UKG, communicating agency employee status and entering new hire data in HR systems and databases.
- Support the new hire process by communicating with candidates and exchanging information with newly hired staff in preparation of first-day employment
- Assist in the implementation of human resource programs by providing program support
- Participate on HR and interdepartmental project teams
- Commit to personal development and growth by actively participating in personal development initiatives to expand understanding and deliver greater impact in role.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or 2 -4 years’ experience in a broad field of areas that support recruiting, benefits, employee relations and worker’s compensation
- SHRM or PHR Certification strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent coordination skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of HR Information Systems and database utilization to track and maintain data
- Flexibility to support shifting priorities to meet team objectives
- Ability to work autonomously and under minimal direction
- Familiarity with protocols surrounding the use and keeping of confidential data
- Organized and able to prioritize the efforts of self and others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to be able to train and educate staff on systems and online access.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues and part of a team

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Manufacturing environment – limited exposure to machinery, noise and other adverse conditions for short periods of time, depending on the role
- Travel locally to the Northfield and Waterbury sites
- Occasional out-of-state travel on a needed basis
