Position Description:
We are searching for a talented Human Resources Generalist with experience across a wide spectrum of HR programs and initiatives to join our collaborative team. In this role you will support the organization through planning, implementing, and administering human resources programs and policies. You will bring your experience across a breadth of areas including employee relations, benefits programs, compensation, personnel administration, recruiting, new employee orientation, records management, diversity and inclusion, training, leave administration, performance management, employment-based visa administration, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance. You will play a key role in helping solve complex personnel issues.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with management and employees to provide HR guidance, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Handle employee counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing, resolving employee relations issues using conflict resolution best practices.
- Providing support with the administration of corporate benefit programs and consult with and advise employees. Providing support to employees to resolve benefit issues and questions and back-up support for retiree benefit programs. Preparing and reviewing employee benefits communications.
- Managing our employment-based visa process in partnership with outside legal counsel.
- Managing FMLA and other leave programs, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained, monitoring for potential problems, initiating and completing appropriate actions.
- Presenting at a variety of HR sponsored activities, programs, training sessions, and preparing supporting materials. Developing agendas and reviewing topics and preparing employee communications.
- Providing consultation support services to our 13 Association HR contacts.
- Completing and submitting personnel related transactions and maintaining associated records.
- Providing support in compensation related matters to Associations and the Bank.
- Responsible for EEO- 1 reporting, Vets reporting, Affirmative Action plans and any other required reporting.
- Preparing reports as needed by the employment area or management. Analyzing trends and metrics with the HR team.
- Responding to bank internal and external audits that detail areas for HRM to address.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

It is an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, related business field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of four (4) or more years related experience including employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, personnel administration, recruiting, and records management experience preferred.
The position requires experience with and knowledge of Payroll/HRIS systems, Performance Management, Applicant Tracking systems, and skill in the use of personal computers and their software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required with excellent Excel skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work within deadlines and under pressure are essential. Accuracy in maintaining records and files. Project management skills needed. Ability to collaborate with solid problem-solving skills. Analytical, demonstrable experience with HR metrics, thorough knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
