About the Job
On behalf of a client in the professional services industry, we are seeking an experienced HR generalist to provide comprehensive human resources support to the firm. The ideal candidate has experience in managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, benefits and payroll administration, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

- Collaborate in the development and execution of HR programs and initiatives that align with the firm’s goals and objectives
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure the accurate and timely disbursement of salaries and benefits
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits and assist employees with benefits related questions
- Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, selection, and new hire orientations
- Assist with the management of employee inquiries and concerns, addressing employee issues and conflicts
- Assist in the performance evaluation and coaching process, develop materials, and provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related matters
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and legal requirements and assist in the ongoing development of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain HR documentation and databases, generate reports, and providing guidance on HR metrics to leadership as needed
Qualifications
Requirements for this position include the following:- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- Three to five years professional experience in human resources in a professional or corporate environment
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with team members at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Relevant HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.
- Experience with talent management and employee development programs
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations and employment standards
