We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Consulting HR Generalist to join our team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about human resources and has a keen interest in the construction sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring the smooth running of HR operations, and driving our talent management strategy. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong understanding of HR practices, and the ability to work well under pressure. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide HR consultation to managers on employee relations issues, while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws.
2. Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive initial experience.
3. Develop and implement talent management strategies that meet our company's business needs and drive employee engagement and retention.
4. Facilitate conflict resolution sessions between employees and management, ensuring all parties reach a satisfactory outcome.
5. Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits, ensuring our offerings are competitive and in line with industry standards.
6. Utilize Paylocity to manage HR processes, including payroll, timekeeping, and performance management.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, compliant, and effectively communicated to all employees.
8. Collaborate with the HR team on strategic initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, employee development, and workforce planning.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience with Paylocity, Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Compensation & Benefits.
3. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex employee relations issues.
6. Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
8. Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
