Purpose and Job Summary
ORIX Corporation USA is on the lookout for a highly motivated HR Generalist I to join our dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a burgeoning HR professional to deepen their expertise in recruiting, onboarding, contingent workers management, compliance, and employee relations, under the guidance of the HR Operations Manager. This opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about human resources, focused on the employee experience, and excited about contributing to the optimization and success of HR functions within our organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Candidate Interview Scheduling Support: Assist in coordinating interviews, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for candidates.
- Job Posting Support: Help manage job postings across various platforms to attract top talent.
- Offer Letter Generation Support: Aid in the preparation and distribution of offer letters to selected candidates.
- Onboarding & Pre-hire Support: Facilitate the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the company, emphasizing a positive initial experience.
- Contingent Worker Management Support: Assist with the coordination and management of vendor relationships related to HR functions.
- Employee Support & HR Inquiries: Leveraging our Workday case management system, respond to employee inquiries promptly, directing employees to available resources, tutorials, or contacts, escalating tickets to appropriate points of contact, and is proactive about upcoming Company or HR events to anticipate potential employee questions.
- Unemployment Claims: Support the handling of unemployment claims, ensuring they are managed promptly and efficiently.
- Employment Verifications: Conduct employment verification checks as required.
- Labor Law Poster Management: Maintain and update labor law posters to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
Contacts
This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
Education, Skills & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1 - 3+ years of proven experience in HR program maintenance and execution, with a strong emphasis on supporting employees.
- Optimization mindset, the ability to identify areas for improvement and ensure an excellent service experience.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- A passionate and enthusiastic approach to HR, driven by a desire to contribute positively to the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and list other relevant systems or software
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities.
- Strong passion for learning and an ability to quickly apply new concepts to resolve complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience with HRIS, preferably Workday.
- Experience with DocuSign.
- Prior experience in financial services or a related industry is a plus.
- Prior experience in Human Resources, supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, project support, and customer service is highly desirable.
