Job Summary:
The HR Generalist II is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR manager. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, offboarding, and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related queries and concerns.
Mediate and resolve employee conflicts in a confidential and effective manner.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints or issues as required.
Meet with new employees to ensure an understanding of company policies and procedures.
Prepare and maintain employee files and records.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
Benefits Administration:
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and claims issues.
Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
Coordinate and communicate with benefits providers.
Compliance and Policy Implementation:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Compile and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make recommendations.
Prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and headcount.
Perform additional HR-related tasks as required to support the HR department's goals.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3-5 years of HR generalist experience.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.
