Human Resources Generalist
THE POSITION:
The Human Resources Generalist position works closely with multiple departments and markets. S/he should be highly efficient, organized, and approachable. We expect applicants to have a solid knowledge of various HR functions and administrative responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Help implement, support, and review all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems
● Provide support to the Hiring Managers with the recruitment process, including coordinating the entire hiring process.
● Assist managers with developing engaging job ads to match position responsibilities and the talent market.
● Prepare and process hiring documentation.
● Evaluate and improve onboarding plans and conduct new hire orientation
● Complete first reports of injury and work with carrier on workers compensation claims.
● Work in tantum with the Safety Manager on Safety Team meetings and initiatives.
● Design & coordinate employee appreciation/recognition programs
● Maintain composure and confidentiality required to handle sensitive situations
● Serve as a backup for benefits administration.
● Administrative duties, including upkeep of employee records.
● Possess a perceptive nature, careful monitoring to ensure legal compliance with all policies and legal requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred
● Work experience as a Human Resources Generalist or other HR position required
● Working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (e.g. pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development, compliance)
● Must have 2+ years working with compensation
● Proficient in Excel
● Commitment to staying current on the understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
● Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of HRMS is a plus
● Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
● Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
● Aptitude for problem-solving
● Strength of character, ethics, and commitment, and reliability
● HR Credentials (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred

● Office environment with a standard workweek (may include occasional overtime).
● Potential for remote work, depending on company policies.
