We are recruiting an HR Generalist for a renowned client in South Florida, a leading management services organization (MSO) providing cost-effective business solutions to physicians.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the immediate supervision of the HR Manager, HR Generalist performs various HR functions including not limited to terminations, unemployment claims, workers compensation, change of status, employee relations matters, investigations, etc. Knowledgeable in Employment Law.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for handling Employee Hotline calls and conducting Virtual/On-Site Investigations with HR Manager or HR Consultant when necessary
• Responsible for Termination process which includes consultation, documentation, processing and filing the termination in a timely manner
• Responsible for Unemployment Claim process which includes preparation and attendance of hearings and partnering with client in responding to unemployment claim in a timely manner
• Assist in conducting New Hire Orientation as needed
• Responsible for assisting clients by providing guidance and support with daily Employee Relations matters
• Coordinating and tracking required Trainings with clients
• Responsible for FMLA process and communication with clients
• Responsible for Workers Compensation process and communication with clients
• Responsible for Change of Status process. Processing and reviewing for compliance
• Assist with E-Verify process as needed
• On- going projects such as Employee Handbook and Policies
• Ensure clients have the appropriate federal and state labor Law Posters
• Additional duties as assigned
OTHER FUNCTIONS
• Attend monthly Office Managers’ Meetings to communicate policies, procedures, and applicable laws and ensure that administrators are kept current on regulations.
• Assist department as needed with any projects and deadlines.
CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Functional & Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR and Payroll, Word and Excel. Has functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment. Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in the HR field. PHR preferred.
• Customer Focus: Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. Customers are defined as employees, management and physicians and other departments. Must have strong customer service skills.
