The Human Resource Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional levels: compliance, policy administration, benefits management and payroll functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide general HR support on all HR functions
- Assists with employee relations issues as directed
- Monitors employee eligibility for benefit plans
- Reviews benefits with employees, processes enrollments, cancellations and changes
- Manages open enrollment and the benefit election process and verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment
- Performance management as directed
- HR administrative tasks as needed
- Assists with policies and procedures and provides communication and clarification when needed
- Completes monthly insurance invoice reconciliations
- Administers COBRA for group health plans
- Coordinates, plans and leads the monthly Safety Committee Meetings
- Maintains all personal, medical and FMLA leaves
- Manages Workers Compensation process, claims, treatment, time off, etc.
- Manages and distributes annual OSHA logs
- Conducts monthly Welcome Aboard and Exit Interview calls/surveys
- Performs additional duties as assigned
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- SHRM Certified Professional preferred, though not required
- Three to five years of HR Generalist experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently sit, stand and walk
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
