About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
- Training & Development: Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities for employees to support their growth and success.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain HR records, prepare reports, and manage HR-related documentation.
- Culture & Engagement: Contribute to building a positive organizational culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities.
- HR Experience: Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with HR software and best practices. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is essential.
- Passion: A genuine interest in working for a nonprofit organization and contributing to a meaningful mission.
