Description We are in search of a HR Generalist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the HR industry. As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a range of HR functions including managing employee relations, administering benefits, conducting training, overseeing performance management, and ensuring compliance with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and implement employee policies effectively
- Organize and conduct employee onboarding and training programs
- Accurately process payroll and maintain necessary employee documents
- Manage employees' leaves in compliance with FMLA regulations
- Handle workplace conflicts and conduct investigations when necessary
- Oversee employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with legal requirements
- Implement performance review procedures (annual, bi-annual, quarterly)
- Develop and enforce fair HR policies, ensuring employees understand and comply with them
- Ensure all HR practices are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Act as the point of contact for any labor legislation issues
- Generate and submit reports on general HR activity. Requirements - Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role or similar field
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Benefit Functions
- Familiarity with Compliance procedures within HR
- Proven experience in handling Employee Relations
- Understanding and experience in handling Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) related matters
- Experience conducting Employee Relations Investigations
- Proficiency in using Paylocity software for payroll and HR management
- Experience with project management tools, specifically monday.com
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
