POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Recruit candidates for all open positions within the company
- · Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, warning letters, compensation information, internal reports, etc.
- · Maintain onboarding program and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
- · Maintain physical and/or digital files for employees and their documents including benefit information and attendance records, etc.
- · Plan employee engagement events
- · Evaluate employee performance
- · Take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations
- · Address employee complaints or grievances
- · Write and maintain job descriptions
- · Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
- · Plan and administer general HR training for rules, policies and regulations
- · Work with insurance company on worker comp issues
- · Process bi-weekly payroll though ADP system
- · Upload payroll and work with Empower 401(k) plan for new hires, terminations and training
- · Utilize TBX system for administering and updating employee medical benefits

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
Experience: 3+ years working in the human resources field
Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills including data entry, data processing, communication tools and human resources software
Certificates & Licenses: SHRM-CP, PHR a plus
Other Requirements: Recruiting experience, excellent people skills, knowledge of labor law compliance as well as federal, state and local laws and regulations, ability to multi-task, well organized.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to wear required safety equipment as required while in manufacturing area.
