Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a HR Generalist position at a manufacturing company in Watertown CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop recruitment strategies, post jobs, screen resumes, interview candidates and select new employees
- Ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including conducting orientations and completing paperwork
- Identify training needs, develop training programs, and conduct training sessions
- Develop strategies to reduce employee turnover and increase job satisfaction
- Administer benefits, including pay and paid leave
- Enforce company policies and practices, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Managing employee and labor relations
- Run performance evaluations and assist with constructive feedback
- Ensure employees and managers understand policies, procedures and expectations
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Five or more years of human resources experience.
- College degree in human resources or related field
- Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
- Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
- Leadership and coaching skills
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail and analytically driven
