Human Resources Generalist
Mission/Purpose
The Human Resource Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department and act as a liaison with VensureHR to ensure a seamless HR experience for Emperion employees. Key duties include but are not limited to: supporting the hiring of Emperion staff, working in conjunction with Vensure HR in support of payroll and benefits actions for employees, as well as other HR functions including LOA’s, and performance management. The HR Generalist will also support the enforcing of company policies and practices.
Outcome/Results
Through collaboration with VensureHR and the Emperion management team, The Human Resources Generalist will ensure a seamless HR experience for all Emperion employees while also ensuring that HR policies and practices are adhered to for the avoidance of risk to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Supports the recruitment & interview processes to facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Acting as a liaison with VensureHR, performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR staff member.
- In some cases, attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Background & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent (two-five years) experience.
SHRM-CP a plus
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
