What You Will Do:
- Provides transformational HR support to assigned business unit including, but not limited to initiatives focused on recruitment and retention of top talent, talent management, career and succession planning, investigations and grievance management, workforce planning, and expansion into new markets and/or verticals.
- Provides additional human resources information and analysis for management review and analytical purposes, which may include headcount reports, salary surveys, internal surveys, workforce surveys and analysis, and other HRIS reports as needed.
- Produces employee reports relative to organizational staffing, recruiting, turnover, compensation, and relocation.
- Supports recruiting process for domestic and international employees. May also coordinate supplemental staffing needs, such as contractors, temporary employees or interns, with department managers as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and updates of HR policies, ensuring compliance and relevance.
- Directs the development and implementation of policies and procedures designed to comply with applicable regulatory statutes and employment laws for global workforce. Stays abreast of current labor laws and regulations; serves as a liaison for legal team and leadership to ensure awareness and alignment with employment requirements in locations we operate in.
- Lead initiatives to enhance performance management and succession planning processes.
- Coordinate with Global HR Managers and manage the transfer process for expatriates and international employees.
- Conducts exit interviews for terminating employees and makes recommendations to senior management based on interview results as to possible policy changes.
- Engages and collaborates with parent company's international Human Resources and Shared Services teams to execute on international transactional and transformational HR functions as required.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of HR Business Partner experience, with at least 2-3 years in a people management role.
- Extensive HR experience across multiple US states and Canada.
- Preferred certifications include SCP, SPHR, or an advanced degree.
- Willingness to travel within the US and Canada (up to 15-20%)
- Expertise in US Labor Law and experience dealing with legal matters.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Must be skillful in the use of various PC software programs including MS Office. Must have aptitude to learn new applications as the need arises.
- Must have strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Able to work well under constant deadlines with strong multi-tasking ability.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of employees and outside clients in a professional and business-like manner.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage data in real-time.
- Strong communication skills to interact with executives and leaders.
- Ability to dive into granular details and manage complex tasks.
- Ability to obtain familiarity with the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.
- M&A experience.
