Our client is a leader in their industry. They are seeking a passionate and experienced HR Manager to oversee and support the HR day to day operations.
Job Summary:
The HR Manager will play a key role in managing and administering human resources activities, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and aligning HR practices with the company's goals. You will act as a business partner to management, providing guidance on HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role requires a hands-on approach to supporting employee issues, investigations, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an HR Business Partner, providing guidance to management on HR policies, procedures, and compliance with state/federal employment laws.
- Act as the primary HR contact for plant facilities, providing support with time and attendance issues, inquiries, and complaints.
- Manage and support employee relations, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- Remain current on employment laws and regulations (EEOC, ADA, FMLA).
- Participate in HR audits, such as Code of Conduct audits.
- Oversee employee performance evaluations and assist in their processing.
- Provide support to the medical team in FMLA, worker’s compensation, and other leave programs.
- Maintain accurate personnel records related to employment, attendance, and employee relations.
- Foster a positive employee engagement, safety, and wellness environment by participating in employee relations activities, including attending all shifts when needed.
- Collaborate with Recruiting & Retention Manager, Sr. HR Manager, HRIS Manager, and the Director of HR on various HR initiatives and projects.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of HR practices and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and compliance in a multi-location.
- Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required.
- Skills: Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong problem-solving, project management, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Behavioral Traits: High customer service orientation, forward-thinking, collaborative, and resourceful. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
