Position Overview:
The HR Support Center Coordinator provides accurate, timely, and high-quality responses to HR inquiries regarding recruiting, onboarding, data maintenance, payroll, benefits, HR policy and procedure, and the overall maurices associate experience via case, email, and phone. Additionally, the HR Coordinator is responsible for HR department administrative support including data entry, auditing, mailings, reporting, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Primary Responsibilities
• Is the first point of contact for all HR related inquiries
• Partners with HR team members and/or other business areas to effectively resolve inquiries
• Is a resource in all aspects related to maurices HR policies and systems
• Properly documents actions taken to resolve cases, including all verbal and digital correspondence
• Processes unemployment claims, background checks, employment verifications, and subpoenas
• Maintains labor law postings compliance in all stores and corporate locations
• Facilitates company-wide I-9 and e-Verify compliance
• Supports the LOA and Benefits teams
• Supports the Field and Home Office HR teams with special projects
• Ensures all service delivery targets are met, including quality and performance metrics
• Compassionately advocates for all maurices associates
Required Skills & Competencies

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Two-year degree in human resources, business, or related field
• Previous experience in a HR support center or similar environment preferred
• Previous experience in Payroll Administration strongly preferred
• Previous experience in Benefits or Leave of Absence preferred
• Solid understanding of HR practices, processes, and systems (Workday preferred)
