Our client is a leading financial and technology services firm. With global modernization efforts occurring, we are looking for a strong Test Lead for their HRIS solutions.
You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all Quality Assurance activities across HR and Corporate systems. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of functional and non functional testing methodologies, HRIS systems, and corporate applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of system implementations, migrations, and integrations, driving test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting across multiple concurrent projects.
Must sit onsite in McLean, VA, Richmond, VA or Plano, TX hybrid (Mon & Fri remote/Tue-Thu onsite)

Rate: $45 - $50 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy and Planning:
- - Lead the creation and implementation of the overall test strategy, ensuring the alignment with the project goals and organizational objectives.
- - Define the testing scope, approach, resources, schedule, and deliverables for the project.
- - Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for HR and corporate systems, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- - Collaborate with program managers, business analysts, system architects, and engineering leads to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
- - Identify test requirements from specifications, map test cases to requirements, and ensure coverage.

- Test Execution and Coordination:
- - Lead the test execution process, coordinating efforts across multiple projects and teams.
- - Develop detailed test plans, including test cases, test scripts, and test data, to ensure comprehensive coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
- - Oversee the execution of test plans, monitor test progress, and ensure adherence to established timelines and quality standards.
- - Drive the automation strategy and oversee the implementation of test automation frameworks and scripts.
- - Identify and manage testing risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating them as needed.
- - Monitor and track test progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

- Defect Management and Quality Assurance:
- - Establish and manage a defect lifecycle, ensuring all issues are properly documented, prioritized, and resolved.
- - Understand the root cause of defects to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in processes and systems.
- - Ensure that all testing activities are documented and comply with program-level quality standards and policies.

- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
- - Serve as the primary point of contact for testing activities within the program, providing regular updates to stakeholders on test progress, risks, and issues.
- - Prepare and present test status reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to program leadership and other stakeholders.
- - Ensure that all test processes, including those for edge cases and negative scenarios, adhere to industry standards and internal policies.
- - Facilitate test review meetings, including test plan reviews, defect triage, and go/no-go decision discussions.
- -Conduct post release reviews, focusing on lessons learned from the execution of edge cases and negative scenarios, and ensure these insights are applied to future projects.

- Continuous Improvement:
- - Champion best practices in testing and quality assurance, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies.
- - Implement innovation that enhances the repeatability and reliability of test practices, reducing time-to-market while improving product quality.
- - Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.
- - Provide knowledge and expertise in industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, and apply them as appropriate to the program.
- -Lead initiatives to expand the coverage of edge cases and negative scenarios, ensuring that all possible conditions are tested and accounted for.

Experience Requirements:
- Qualifications:

- - 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3-5 years in a test lead or management role.
- - Extensive experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and corporate systems.
- - Proven experience in leading and implementing Behavior Driven Development and Test Driven Development frameworks
- - Strong knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray) and test automation frameworks (BDD, Cucumber , Selenium, Rest Assured, Playwright, PACT Js and Sauce Labs ).
- - Proven experience in leading testing efforts for large, complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
- - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
