Job Description: TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an HSE Manager with minimum 5 years of experience in the construction or oilfield. Will be responsible for safety training and safety inspections at drilling sites, updating safety program, ensure PPE is maintained, maintain OSHA records, and maintain certification compliance with each safety program. Must have experience working with HASC and DISA. OSHA 500/510 preferred. Must travel to different sites.

Leader in commercial water well drilling and services. We have an immediate need for an HSE MANAGER. This role is expected to lead over 100 employees in changing the Company’s Safety Culture from reactive to proactive and help instill in all employee's ownership of the Company’s Safety Program. We need someone with EXPERIENCE in Oilfield and / or Construction. The HSE MANAGER reports directly to the President of the company and is a key member of the Management Team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The HSE MANAGER is primarily responsible for providing leadership to all employees regarding the Health and Safety Program for the Houston and San Antonio Offices. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitate both on-site and in shop training meetings
- Update and implement the fleet safety program
- Maintain matrix of all necessary licenses needed for positions
- Make both scheduled and un-announced visits to work sites to conduct safety audits
- Create, conduct and maintain appropriate individualized and classroom training programs for the following: drilling and service rigs, forklifts, driver training, boom trucks, winches, cutting and welding, and any other necessary equipment training
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is maintained. Ensure employees are maintaining their PPE; keep abreast of advances in available products and make recommendations to management for changes; keep current inventory levels of OSHA approved items; regularly conduct price/quality/vendor surveys to help control expenses
- Responsible to ensure thorough investigations are conducted for all incidents (work injuries, equipment damages, vehicle accidents and “close calls”)
- Create and maintain all appropriate OSHA records, logs and reports, employee safety files, Material Data Sheets, and all other relevant safety data files
- Regularly update the Health and Safety Program, including Safety Training Checklists, Safety Policies, etc.
- Submit to management Plans for Improvement, including company safety goals, action plans to achieve goals, and regular follow-up
- In close coordination with their supervisors, assist in recommending and taking appropriate corrective action for employees that is needed to correct unsafe behaviors
- Maintain compliance with Houston Area Safety Council, ISNetworld, Avetta and other safety programs need for job specific requirements
- Compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations for DOT, EPA, and OSHA
- Other duties and projects as assigned
