Ensure appropriate compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental agencies as well as JLL & Delta Air Line's established processes.
What is your day to day?
- Coordinate the data collection of records necessary for environmental & safety reporting.
- Perform & execute monthly compliance reporting on behalf of Delta Air Lines for the Georgia EPD & Georgia Department of Public Health.
- Maintain OSHA logs for all sites associated with the Delta – Atlanta contract portfolio.
- Assist the HSSE Manager with developing and implementing comprehensive EH&S programs and initiatives that comply with regulatory requirements and promote employee participation and accountability. Examples include contractor safety, isolation of hazardous energy, chemical management, emergency procedures and safety committee teams.
- Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices and analytical techniques.
- Conduct training in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Ensure proper documentation of training.
- Manage the HSSE training matrix & monthly training assignments for all employees on the JLL-Delta Air Lines account.
- Assist sites in performing job safety analysis and developing safe work procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Audit periodic records and follow established processes to ensure compliance with all established policies and procedures, as well as contractual obligations.
- Identify and investigate permit deviations & variances; escalate risks to internal and/or client resources when necessary.
- Collaborate with account wide team and proactively share and reapply all learnings, successes, and best practices.
- Implement and monitor hazard control and team safety practices, ensure compliance with local codes and regulation, and pass the compliance portion of the operations audit.
- Assists with implementation of preventive, ongoing and anticipated maintenance/repair programs.
- Involved with developing, updating, and managing site/account Energy Control Procedures, Work Instructions and SOPs.
- Participate in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, and follow-up.
- Make recommendations for prevention based on results of investigations.
- Monitor recordkeeping and reporting performance for Risk related requirements and objectives.
- Ensure that appropriate site and business specific programs are implemented, documented, and standardized to meet KPI’s effectively and efficiently within legal requirements.
- Programs must comply with regulatory, client and company requirements.
- Assists with understanding of compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Assist in determining preventive maintenance scheduling intervals and work to maintain, update and improve the operational efficiency of the CMMS system.
- Assists to maintain client relationship and conflict resolution.
- All other duties and tasks assigned that are in alignment with the HSE leaderships expectations.
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in science or technical discipline or 3+ years working in a EHS or Quality role.
- Works well both independently and within a team.
- Willing to learn regulatory requirements that apply to facilities management (OSHA, EPA, GAEPD, NFPA, DOT, ASME, etc.).
- Able to obtain government issued ID’s, i.e. SIDA Badge & Customs Seals.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Trained in OSHA 30 General Industry and/or Construction.
- Experience in formal Problem Solving.
- Ability to host presentations & training for technicians, managers & executives.
- Ability to recognize and diagnose hazards present during environmental & safety inspections.
- Ability to work with on-site HSSE Manager to overcome challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in Georgia EPD Title V Air permit reporting.
- Experience supporting SWPP & SPCC programs and permits.
- Georgia Underground Storage Tank Operator.
- ASSP Member.
