About the Job
We are seeking a Business Analyst for a long-term role on one of our Federal IT projects.
The analyst typically assesses the operations and recommends methods for improving assistance and
guidance to the users in the utilization, operation, and maintenance of the various applications. This
will often include working directly with customers to document requirements and improvements,
collaborating with software developers to verify any changes, and ensuring relevant system
documentation is updated. Additionally, the analyst may also be responsible for operational items such
as system reporting and responding to user inquiries. Overall, the analyst should be proactive, highly
analytical, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of business analysis, support, and software
functional testing including:
Working with functional users to identify, prioritize and document requirements
Supporting operational functions and coordinating activities supporting mission essential functions
(e.g. system utilization reporting, batch processing, etc.)
Review and analyze existing applications in order to develop and/or update detailed supporting
documentation
Delivering service and support to end-users using and operating web applications
Interacting with customers to provide and process guidance in response to process reviews,
inquiries, concerns, and requests
Following standard processes and procedures
Identifying and escalate priority issues
Accurately processing and documenting customer interactions
Working with software developers to analyze, correct, and test system faults
Preparing and executing functional tests to assure system suitability as well assisting software
developers in automating these tests to the greatest extent possible
Offering alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of improving business processes
(improved user interface, more efficient workflow, etc.)
Organizing ideas and communicating with teammates and stakeholders using oral and written
documentation
Providing quality control through utilization of a bug tracking system
Identifying, developing and implementing methods for improving help and end user reference
documentation
Providing guidance to other team members through the entire system lifecycle
Staying current with system information, changes and updates.
Preferably 2+ years of similar experience.
Candidate will work full-time remote given the current situation.
Candidate must be a US Citizen or Green card holder and an active Public Trust clearance is a plus.
