About the Job
The Human Resource Coordinator at Laurel House is responsible for performing a wide range of HR related duties including benefits administration, administering FMLA and STD leaves, workers' compensation, performance management, on-boarding and off-boarding employees, policy implementation, recruitment, reporting and compliance, training and employee relations. This is a part-time position - 24-32 hours per week.
The HR Coordinator will partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations' employee needs as well as engagement and retention strategies.
You will identify and develop on-going training opportunities for staff professional development.
HR is responsible for managing the talent acquisition process including collaborating with managers to understand the skills and competencies required to identify the best candidates, recruit, interview, and hire and on-board staff.
Provide support and guidance to management and staff including complex or sensitive issues.
Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, and recommend benefit changes and propose pay scales.
Oversee investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
Respond to and monitor unemployment and workers' compensation claims.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and ensure Laurel House policies and practices are in compliance.
Maintain HR information including employee files, job descriptions, organization charts, compliance reporting and analytics.
